The Camphor Tree Lakefront Jungle Lodge, Naukuchiatal

The Camphor Tree is situated near the serene Naukuchiatal lake, which is also known as the 'lake of nine corners'. It is surrounded by dense oak and pine forests that aid in providing guests with a soothing ambience. Our charming homestay near Nainital is nestled amidst the enchanting mountains of Kumaon and it overlooks the mesmerising Himalayan hill range. Aside from the scenic views, our homestay also offers modern amenities to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable experience during their stay with us in Naukuchiatal.

The estate was initially bought and built upon by Colonel Graham and his wife Eileen as their hunting and fishing lodge. Besides the main lodge, there were other separate units like the guest rooms, staff rooms, stables, store rooms and an external kitchen. In the late 1930s-early 40s, Madan Shumsher Rana purchased this estate along with neighbouring estates in Naukuchiatal and a majority of Col. Jones' estate in Bhimtal.

Accommodation

The Camphor Tree Lakefront Jungle Lodge houses 5 fully serviced rooms including two well-furnished family suites with en-suite bathrooms and modern amenities. As the property is spread over an area of 7 acres, all the rooms have a spectacular view of the Naukuchiatal Lake and the lush greenery surrounding it. Our guests will have an unforgettable experience with their families and spend quality time with their pets at our pet-friendly homestay in Naukuchiatal.
